Bookings

Jobs are accepted by Kat Macaulay at the price agreed and quoted in writing. Prices may vary due to supplier costs or subsequent client requirements. Any such additional costs will be advised as soon as they become apparent. The daily rate agreed is based on a working day which is ten hours in duration on shoot days and eight hours on edit or desk working days. This should include a one hour lunch break. Twelve hour rates (or longer) are negotiable.

Confirmation of a booking must be received in writing before any job takes place.  Kat Macaulay cannot accept responsibility for misunderstandings resulting from verbal/ pencil bookings which are not followed up with a confirmation email or call sheet / shooting schedule.

Priority will be given to confirmed rather than pencil bookings.

Cancellations

Every effort will be made by Kat Macaulay to be flexible and understanding in relation to the changing nature of production schedules, however, for advance bookings that have been confirmed in writing by the client, the following cancellation terms apply:

Cancellations within 24 hours of job start date – 100% day rate charge applicable

Cancellations within 48 hours of job start date – 50% day rate charge applicable

Payment

Invoices will be submitted for payment upon completion of work and payment is due within 20 days of receipt of the invoice.

Where projects stretch over four weeks I will invoice monthly in arrears or on completion of each stage (eg pre-production, shoot, post production), whichever is sooner. All invoices will be itemised.

Expenses will be charged at actual amounts as agreed, and receipts will be provided as appropriate.

Transport expenses will be charged when travel is expected to be over 30 miles from base.

If and whenever the Client fails to make such payments within the said 20 days period, the Client shall pay Kat Macaulay interest on outstanding payments, calculated from the invoice date until the date of payment. The rate of interest will be notified to the Client if such payments become outstanding, and will be 10% above the Bank Of England Base rate compounding.

Client’s who’s banks are outside the UK, must pay all transaction fees incurred when making reimbursement to Kat Macaulay.
